I am a qualified counsellor in Chessington, Surrey and London Bridge. I offer weekly sessions on an open-ended basis to help resolve issues such as depression, anxiety and low self-esteem as well as difficulties following bereavement, divorce or abuse.

I initially trained in NLP and hypnotherapy and subsequently in psychodynamic counselling. This provides me with a range of skills and approaches I can use to help my clients.

My approach deals with the past, the present and the future. The past in helping you to gain an understanding of childhood experiences that have shaped the way you are. This understanding often releases the hold that the past can have. The present in providing a space to talk about current life experience and help you to deal with what is happening in your life now. The future in examining your aspirations and heping you to decide and take action on goals to achieve greater fulfilment.

I believe that a key aim of counselling is to release the latent inner healing powers that lie within all of us. This taps into our core spiritual nature.

I am fully insured and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Prior to training to be a counsellor I worked in industry helping people through change. I was also a Samaritan volunteer. I have a BSc and MSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, an MBA and I am a Chartered Engineer.
